UAE increases transit visa fee
The expedited 96-hour transit visa now costs $83.65, up from the previous $40.55 set by the United Arab Emirates immigration authorities. In a statement recently released, applicants were informed of the new modifications by service provider business VFS Global, according to Arabian Business and VisaGuide.World.
Residents of certain nations will be required to pay a refundable security deposit, which will be returned to the applicant. The customer will receive a refund of about $272.5 plus taxes; their leave will be noted in the system.
A 96-hour transit visa costs $33 in visa fees without deposits plus a $22.52 service charge. Additionally, incidentals may cost $4.05. A 96-hour express visa, on the other hand, has a service price of $42.92 and additional fees of about $7.73.
A 96-hour transit visa can cost $394.03 in total, including the visa price, a security deposit of €272.50, and incidentals of $55.07. The express 96-hour visa is $418.22, and the security deposit is the same as the normal one: $272.50. Conversely, incidentals for express visas cost $58.76.
The system automatically selects the visa category, and based on the visa category and the applicant’s country of residency, the system automatically determines the visa fee. Everyone has a flight within the next 48 to 96 hours and is not exempt from UAE tourist visa requirements or is not qualified for a UAE visa on arrival. Yemeni, Somalian, Iraqi, Niger, Afghan, and nationals of Niger can’t apply for a transit visa to the UAE.
In contrast to Mexican nationals, who can enter the Emirates visa-free for up to 180 days, Bahrain, Oman, Kuwait, and Saudi Arabia nationals do not require a UAE transit visa to access Dubai and other Emirates.
In addition, residents of a number of nations, including Honduras, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Montenegro, Norway, Russia, Switzerland, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. Nationals of Argentina, Barbados, Brazil, Chile, Chile, Nauru, Paraguay, Serbia, Solomon Island, Seychelles, and Uruguay can also enter the UAE without a visa for up to 90 days.
Moreover, citizens of 22 countries, including the United States, the United Kingdom, and Canada, are eligible for admission to the UAE with a visa-on-arrival. This includes nationals of China, Japan, Macau, and Ukraine, who can enter the UAE visa-free for up to 30 days.
